the fact that women have to fake orgasms so that dudes who dont care about giving them orgasms dont have to feel bad about not giving them orgasms after making no effort to in the first place is ridiculous

a lot of the time women fake orgasms to get men off of us because no one told us we’re allowed to say “stop touching me it doesn’t feel good”

"you’re thin enough already" "so what, is that supposed to make you skinny?" "you’re a bad influence to young girls and you promote eating disorders by doing this to yourself" just a few actual quotes I’ve heard from people regarding my waist training. I would like to clear a few things up. 1. I do not promote eating disorders in any way, and neither does wearing a corset. 2. while wearing a corset I do eat many, many small meals a day. and also have found that waist training causes me to want to eat healthier and avoid belly bloating and junk foods. 3. I’m a pretty tall girl and my body is by no means lump free, I’ve got stretch marks and hips and thighs. I’m not extremely curvy not am I exactly stick thin. Im HEALTHY and average sized. I appreciate every single one of you who either supports me in my waist training and enjoys seeing my progress, or is nice enough to either keep scrolling or unfollow me without leaving parting remarks such as those above. I just wanted to put on the record that waist training and wearing a corset is not a diet it is not meant to be used as a diet as so many people seem to be getting into it for all the wrong reasons. Please, do not try to cinch yourself into a corset to try to starve yourself. It doesn’t make you skinnier, it just shapes what you already have skin and fat and all. Combined with healthy eating and exercise yes you can see results and a thinner middle but not just from a corset alone. Besides, im always hungry as balls and I wear one most every day so it won’t work that way I can say from experience.

Fun little trick I learned in therapy: validation. When someone is upset, don’t try to fix the problem, point out the cause, or tell them it could be worse. Just validate their emotions. Be like, ‘shit yeah man, that sucks. I’m sorry you’re going through that. I’m here for you.’ That’s literally all you have to do to make them feel better. Thank you and goodnight.
